Last day until my Jocktober 30 Day Multi-Challenge madness!

So, I decided to make October the Month of the 30 Day Challenge, which seemed like a really good idea when I was writing all of this shit into my calendar, but not so much now… Can’t it ever be thirty days of lying in bed and Netflix?!

Anyway, so starting tomorrow, in addition to my normal marathon training, I’ll also be doing four (4!!!!) 30 Day Challenges to at least set me up for the pigging out and excessive drinking I plan on doing this holiday season: yoga, squats, plank, and lunges.

If you want to get in on any of this sexy 30 Day Challenge action, here’s my plan:

Yoga:
I’m going to be following Dashama Kona’s 30 Day Challenge on Udemy or 30dyc.com. This is about 2 hours of yoga a day in audio courses and short YouTube videos, so you need to be somewhat versed in yoga terminology to do it. Also comes with instructional materials and a detox recipe book.
I will not be taking on the detox part of the challenge this month.

2: 50 squats
3: 75 squats
4: 60 squats
5: REST DAY
6: 60 squats
7: 90 squats
8: 50 squats
9: 45 squats
10: REST DAY
11: 120 squats
12: 40 squats

Everyday: 30 forward lunges (15 on each leg), 20 side lunges to the right, 20 side lunges to the left, 30 reverse lunges (15 on each leg), and as many switch lunges as you can manage (record your progress).

Well, at least all of this toning will help my strength (which is majorly suffering)! And 30 day challenge type regimens are not permanently sustainable, no, but that’s not the point. It’s a challenge, like a marathon, and maybe I’ll retain some of the habits I build this month…
