Official Training Commences!

As of yesterday, the Official Walt Disney World Marathon Training Program has commenced. My “real” training has begun!

This training program consists of two forty-five minute runs and one “long” run a week. For simplicity’s sake, I will be now recording my runs in miles instead of kilometers, as the long run goals set out for each week are in miles. I will also be following the Jeff Galloway run/walk method. At the moment I’m trying to do 4:00 min run/1:00 min walk, but I can do a shorter run interval or a longer walk interval as needed.

If you’re thinking about doing the WDW Marathon, you’re not too late to jump in with the training, but better reserve your place quick: the marathon is sold to 92%! As Nike says: just do it!
